Horniman Museum and Gardens

The project formed part of the Horniman’s wider ambition to create a better link between the museum and its gardens. The aim of the proposed new community and education building was to create an inspirational learning environment, bringing the learning experience to the outside and therefore maximising the full potential of the existing garden site.

Hoxton Hall

Hoxton Hall is a Grade II*-listed and very rare surviving Victorian music hall located on bustling Hoxton Street in East London. The building is used as a community arts centre.

King's School Canterbury Collection

Skelly & Couch has carried out a series of commissions for the King’s School Canterbury, within a beautiful setting near Canterbury Cathedral, a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

King's School Canterbury – Mitchinson's Day House

The tight site within the Conservation area of Canterbury, chosen to provide a day house for 70 non-boarding pupils, contains the remains of a medieval hospice (a Scheduled Ancient Monument) which forms one external façade wall. The Grade II-listed day house comprises study and social spaces, changing rooms and a kitchenette.

King's School Canterbury – Precincts Project

Working with the UK’s most historic school, Skelly & Couch is involved in the refurbishment and extension at the King’s School Canterbury, an independent, co-educational, day and boarding school located in Kent.

Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester

Preston Bus Station

Preston Bus Station, designed originally by BDP and completed in 1969, is a renowned, Grade II-listed Brutalist building, which Skelly & Couch has helped to return to its former glory through modern technologies and sensitive refurbishment techniques.

Rhodes House

A courtyard extension and refurbishment of the prominent Rhodes Trust buildings in Oxford.

St Peter's RC Seminary, Cardross

Skelly & Couch has contributed to the first phase of the ‘rescue’ and restoration of one of Scotland’s greatest Modernist buildings, designed by Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, which has lain in ruins for 25 years.
