Katharine received a MEng degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol in 2004, having completed an Erasmus year at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Lyon, France. She then received a MSc in Environmental Design & Engineering from University College London in 2005.

Her MSc dissertation led to the publication of a paper in the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Conference Proceedings.

Whilst at University, Katharine was sponsored by Whitbybird and on completion of her MSc from University College London, she worked with Whitbybird as a Structural Design Engineer. At this time Katharine worked on a £35 million mixed-use retail, commercial and residential development on New Bond Street and St. George Street, London.

Taking a pause from engineering, Katharine has also spent two years working for the Youth Hostel Association, and was Manager at their Llanberis hostel in North Wales.

Since joining Skelly & Couch in February 2012, Katharine has worked on a commercial and residential development on Highgate Road, north London; an Adult Education Centre in Richmond, Surrey; Manor Primary School in Tilbury, east London; a new public WC building in Wembley; the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education; the new research and laboratory centre at RHS Wisley; and the redevelopment of the Farmiloe Building in Clerkenwell, London.
